Crossroads Community Church Prayer Garden

Prayer is essential to whatever success our congregation enjoys by the hand of God. When first planning for the use of the land at Gahagan, we set aside the front portion for prayer and meditation. A focal point of the area was to be a prayer garden, integrated someday with a prayer chapel.
This prayer garden has been under development since 1996 and has slowly matured. Hedges and arbors along the paths enclose five distinct “rooms,” each landscaped to suggest a beloved psalm and invite individual and small group prayer.
Building and keeping the prayer garden is a ministry of the church. Working in the garden on a quiet morning or in the late afternoon is a relaxing and rewarding way to serve. There is always a need for gardeners.

Psalm 19
This is a gloriously hard place for exposure and cleansing.
“There is nothing hidden.”
Psalm 23
The shady corner of a pasture is for enjoying fellowship.
“He restores my soul.”
Psalm 63
A wilderness is for wrestling and for finding hope.
“My soul clings to Thee.”
Psalm 100
Here is a bright plaza for the people to praise the King.
“Bless His name.”
Psalm 131
A simple playground is where a child can meet his Father.
“My heart is not proud.”
